Shannon
Shannon
Shannon completed her Hatha Yoga training with Prana Yoga College here in Vancouver.  Her classes focus on maintaining a balance between building strength and gaining flexibility.  A meditative flow will guide you through each movement, with emphasis on proper alignment and breathing.  She strives to help you become more  in tune with your body and its' amazing abilities.  She hopes yoga will become a life long journey for you.  Shannon gains incredible inspiration from nature and encourages everyone to do yoga outdoors.

Naomi

Naomi is a native Aries of New Zealand. She first heard about Agama yoga when she was traveling in India in 2002. This unlocked a deep desire within her to learn more about Tantra, Yoga and the mysterious Kundalini.

Following this desire, she began studying from many different teachers and sources, and eventually become a Kundalini Yoga Teacher from the Yogi Bhajan tradition.

In 2006 she finally connected with Agama Yoga when Swami Vivekananda came to Vancouver. She was immediately hooked by Swami's extensive knowledge of Tantra, Yoga and Kundalini, and saw how his teachings could bring all her interests together.

In January 2007 she went to Thailand and studied the first level intensive program, in 2008 she became an Agama Yoga teacher and then went on to teach in Dharamsala (India), Rishikesh (India), Koh Phangan (Thailand) and Vancouver (Canada). She is presently studying the the second major block of the Agama curriculum, the Kundalini Program.

Most class participants would prefer not to have an audience, so no spectating please.   Our yoga space, and Wreck Beach in general are about body acceptance and respect.  Staring, inappropriate comments, etc, are not part of our culture. Anybody violating these basic principals will be removed from the class.  For more on Wreck Beach etiquette see the official Wreck Beach Preservation Society website (link below).
